Tax Accountant

*Job description* _Tax Accountant in Fargo ND_ We are looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to manage a small tax office and ensure that clients’ state and federal tax documents are prepared and filed in a timely manner.
The candidate would be able to manage supporting staff and identify opportunities to grow the companies’ client base.
The position will also support the Financial Planning team in tax projections and answering tax-related inquiries.
*Responsibilities* * Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals.
* Prepare tax projections, calculate and process estimated tax payments, and perform general tax planning duties.
* Coordinate accounting staff and assess their performance.
* Assist with research on federal, state, and local tax authority laws.
* Assist with tax audits and perform other tax department-related duties if necessary.
* Assist with in-depth financial analysis of client provided data.
* Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices.
* Provide accounting and/or advisory services.
*Requirements and skills* * Proven work experience in tax preparation, payroll, and accounting.
* Excellent knowledge of all types of tax returns.
* Knowledge of tax software and MS Office.
* Self-starter, organized, able to set priorities.
* Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
* BA in Accounting.
* Enrolled Agent or CPA or the desire to pursue tax designations.
