This position will be located in: Fargo , ND Job Summary Supports the day-to-day operations of the accounting area by preparing journal entries, maintaining the accuracy of general ledger accounts, creating accounting reports and supporting management.
Aides with the month-end close process and monitors requests sent to the Financial Accounting team.
Responsibilities Essential Functions Reconciles and maintains the general ledger accounts.
Documents financial transactions by preparing and processing journal entries.
Compiles reports monthly, quarterly, and annually for BSE management.
Assists with the accurate and timely completion of the month-end close process.
Assists branch/regional/department/executive managers with questions regarding financial statements and reporting.
Answers and assigns requests received by the Financial Accounting team.
Compiles data for prepaid and accrued expenses, fixed assets, personal property taxes and real estate taxes.
Non-essential Functions Assists with financial audits.
Collaborates with Process Improvement Accountant with identifying and implementing process improvements.
Assists with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications Minimum of a four-year accounting, finance or business administration degree.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar designation is preferred.
Ability to read, write and speak in English is required.
Prefer strong working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint), Internet, Email and SAP software.
Skills and Abilities Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, reading, and customer service skills are preferred with the ability to effectively plan and organize.
Excellent customer service skills include being competent, accurate, responsive and engaged.
