Our Bottom Line: Happy Employees! Happy Customers! Job Summary: This position is responsible for investment performance analysis, including measurement and reporting, utilizing industry standard tools and reporting applications.
This position will also assist in model management and trading.
The primary areas of focus include performance reporting, institutional client reporting, trading and model management and monthly/quarterly GIPS performance updates.
This position is viewed as a key member of the Investment Team and is relied upon as an expert within performance measurement and reporting.
This position will generally assist Portfolio Managers, and Senior Portfolio Managers.
Primary Duties: Performance Reporting: Develop and publish high quality, routine, and ad-hoc performance measurement and analytics reporting for various stakeholders, including Institutional Clients and the Investment Team.
Prepare investment reports for use with institutional investment committees/clients; including retirement plans, insurance companies, corporate accounts, endowments, and foundations.
Establish and manage a schedule of reporting deliverables in satisfaction of various deadlines.
May create/redesign/enhance existing reporting framework to meet evolving needs May calculate and/or validate GIPS compliant returns; fees; performance attribution, exposure, and risk analytics for investment managers, portfolio aggregates, and benchmarks Work directly with vendors, Investment Team, and systems to ensure complete, accurate, and timely updates to databases.
May be a member of the reporting governance team responsible for assisting with the reporting governance processes and overall data quality May be a data steward for performance data within overall data management strategy.
Perform special projects as needed.
Trading and Model Management: Create, update, and assign investment models.
Invest or raise cash for individual accounts.
Rebalancing accounts to their approved model or single security trading.
Implement model moves made by Bell Institutional Investment Management.
Monitor portfolio drift across multiple accounts.
Client Investment Reporting: Prepare investment reports for use with institutional investment committees/clients; including retirement plans, insurance companies, corporate accounts, endowments, and foundations.
May provide Support to Marketing by assisting in preparing investment reporting information for marketing materials, Request for Proposals (RFPs), and client/industry presentations.
Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.

in business, finance, accounting, economics, statistics or field closely related to any of these degrees.
1 to 7 years of experience in the investment management/financial industry, including calculating and interpreting performance.
Passion for the investment management, security analysis industry.
Knowledge of the following areas: Investment terminology Investment process and markets Investment portfolio theory and practice Accounting practices Fixed income and equity securities and trading practices Spreadsheet software and financial information systems GIPS (Global Investment Performance Standards) Detail oriented, highly organized, self-directed, and motivated.
Solid quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex topics.
Ability to learn new technology systems to enhance investment platforms.
