Butler Machinery is in search of a passionate individual to join our Credit department.
As a Credit Administrator we provide customer service and support on all aspects of customer accounts.
This includes evaluating new customers, setting them up in our system, keeping all data current, ensuring invoices are being delivered/paid, resolving invoicing issues, resolving payment issues, collecting, and appropriate escalation on the non-payers.
This also includes working with store managers, parts and service representatives, salesman, and other corporate departments as a team to create the best customer service and most effective ways to collect money owed.

This is your opportunity to grow professionally with an industry-leading equipment provider with a 65+ year presence in the marketplace! Responsibilities: Manage collection process including evaluating customer accounts, reviewing age trials, credit limits, and contacting customers for payment.
Answer calls and emails regarding customer accounts throughout the day.
Review, verify, enter credit applications into the system; determines if an account should be opened for a line of credit or declined.
Review Sales Agreements information and input into system to set up new customer numbers.
Work on various Receivable items including coding and depositing checks, inputting credit memos, refunding overpayments.
Contact customers when payments do not match up with what is invoiced.
Review and post credit card transactions for all locations.
Maintain all customer accounts.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with Accounting emphasis or equivalent training and experience required.
Collections experience preferred.
Negotiation experience preferred.
Must be able to effectively communicate with individuals both verbally and written.
Must be able to multi-task and maintain time management.
Excellent attention to detail is required.
Ability to think strategically, make decisions, develop relationships, handle conflict, negotiate, present ideas, and use resources effectively.
Maintain a clean driving record.
Maintain accurate and consistent work.
