*Position Overview*: As a barista at Thunder Coffee, you will play a crucial role in creating incredible drinks and extraordinary experiences.
Your expertise in coffee preparation and dedication to customer satisfaction will contribute to the success of Thunder Coffee.
*Key Responsibilities*: *Coffee Preparatio*n: Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks, pour-over, cold brew, and more, with a focus on quality, consistency, and precision.
*Product Knowledge*: Possess in-depth knowledge of our coffee offerings, and brewing methods to provide customers with insightful information and recommendations tailored to their preferences.
*Customer Service*: Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for customers, engaging in friendly interactions, taking orders, and ensuring each customer's unique preferences are met with enthusiasm and professionalism.
*Brewing Expertise:* Utilize your expertise to adjust grind settings, brew times, and extraction techniques to consistently produce exceptional coffee flavors.
*Latte Art*: Create visually appealing latte art designs, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of each beverage.
*Equipment Cleaning*: Regularly clean coffee and kitchen equipment, such as grinders, espresso machines, brewing tools, oven, mixers, and the like to guarantee optimal performance and uphold hygiene standards.
*Food Preparation*: Prepare and make food items by following a recipe for our customers with safety and hygiene in mind.
Practice safe food handling and safety handling kitchen equipment while maintaining a high degree of cleanliness and sanitation.
*Cash Handling*: Accurately handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain an organized and efficient point-of-sale system.
Must be able to follow cash handling procedures for tips, and cash drawer management.
*Workspace Organization*: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee preparation area, and seating areas, to ensure a visually pleasing and functional environment for both customers and team members.
*Preferred Qualifications*: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and engage with a diverse range of customers.
A deep passion for coffee, with a strong understanding of different coffee origins, roasting profiles, and brewing methods.
Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and some holidays.
