DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides exceptional, STAR Service to ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Performs the steps of STAR Service, which include:
Smile and Greet
Take Care of Needs
Anticipate, Ask and Act
Remember to Thank and Close
Performs the position-specific STAR service expectations, as outlined by the department.
Cleans and sanitizes guest rooms to enhance the guest experience at Shooting Star Casino, Hotel & Event Center.
Performs overall cleaning and sanitation of hotel rooms, including dusting, washing, vacuuming and mopping/wiping of walls, woodwork, carpets, and furniture according to checklist.
Rotates mattress encasements, pillow encasements, shower curtains and bedspreads according to schedule and guest needs.
Inspects guest rooms for left items and returns all lost and found items to the Housekeeping Office.
Keep a clean & tidy workspace for their carts as well as the cart rooms.
Ensures guest rooms are properly stocked with amenities to ensure a comfortable stay at Shooting Star Casino, Hotel & Event Center.
Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, paper supplies, toiletries etc.
to maintain par level of items going into the room by room type.
Report any missing items from hotel rooms & turn into Lead or Supervisor.
Stocks cart, counts, folds and carries linens.
Cleans hotel areas as assigned to enhance the overall experience and enlighten the guests stay.
Remove disposable items from storerooms, lobby, office areas, and corridors.
Listens and responds to guest concerns in a timely fashion to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
Does “knock & talk” on stayover rooms to verify guest needs & ensure guest satisfaction.
Refers guests to the appropriate department or function for issue resolution.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
No minimum education or experience required; 2 months related experience and/or training preferred.
Certificates, Licenses & Designations
Must meet licensing requirements as prescribed by the Tribal State Compact for Gaming.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of Hotel policies and procedures regarding housekeeping.
Skill in basic math including addition and subtraction.
Ability to follow procedures and give attention to detail
Ability to frequently stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
Ability to frequently walk for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
Ability to frequently stoop or bend.
Ability to frequently squat.
Ability to frequently climb step stools.
Ability to frequently lift and carry over 50 pounds.
Ability to operate vacuum.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Frequent exposure to moderate noise level.
Frequent exposure to cigarette smoke.
Occasional exposure to blood borne pathogens.
Frequent exposure to dust, dirt and debris.
