In this position you will support the R&D department by participating in electronic design activities, building/testing prototypes, preparing tests, and performing Engineering analysis to ensure designs meet requirements.
Also provides drafting/modeling and document management support and participates in prototype builds, installation and setup testing, and other tests to ensure durability.

Essential Functions:
Design and problem-solving activities: Work with engineers and designers to troubleshoot electronic circuits and systems and help design a solution to resolve identified issues.
Automation: Experience with motor drives and controllers desired.
Documentation: Capability to create technical summary reports and test documentation.
Circuit Board Design: A basic understanding of circuit board and firmware design.
Product Knowledge: Become intimately familiar with our current electronic products and they are implemented into our fenestration products.
Other functions: Product installation and setup testing, soldering of small electronics with high quality a plus, Ability to read and comprehend engineering systems requirements documents
Qualifications:
Must be enrolled in an Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering degree program pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
Working knowledge of 2D and 3D Modeling software (Inventor preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
) preferred
Must be able to be a positive member of a team environment, an individual who possesses self-motivation skills and is dependable and trustworthy
Must be able to problem-solve and communicate effectively
Must possess proficient organizational, interpersonal, and multi-tasking abilities and be able to work with power tools and computer equipment
