Job Summary
Establishes and manages data access and support practices for a specific database technology.
Develops, implements and maintains documentation, policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of a database.
The Database Administrator performs backup and recovery, configures database parameters, and designs prototypes against logical data models.
Monitors database and replication servers for resource utilization.
Implements database tuning and performance optimization.
Creates and maintains user profiles for database access, including login and password information.
Maintains and implements Extract, Transform, Load (ETL).
Maintains databases and data warehouses to current version levels.
May deal directly with customers for issue resolution and testing parameters.
Qualifications
Associate's Degree in technology related field required.
Bachelor s Degree preferred.
Two years data management or related work experience in IT industry.
