The purpose of this position is to dispatch Metro Senior Ride Service drivers to and from their destinations in an efficient and timely manner; coordinating the scheduling of our transportation services and complete data entry duties as needed in the office with the goal of providing great customer service and safe transportation for our riders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Evaluation of this position is based primarily on performance of the following essential functions, which include, but are not limited to:
Dispatches transit vehicles throughout the Fargo-Moorhead metro area.
Answers phone calls from clients and schedules ride appointments on Office 365 based system in a manner that optimizes time and distances that a vehicle travels to accomplish trips.
Schedules driver personnel to staff vans to handle the client load for that particular day.
All client information is to be kept confidential by dispatch and driving personnel.
As assigned, data entry of rider and vehicle information using word and Excel spreadsheets.
Enters data timely and accurately for the Transit Manager to use to complete required reports.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Evaluation of this position may also be based on performance of the following other functions, which include, but are not limited to:
Works with drivers to reconcile and prepare transit income for deposit, unlocking money boxes, counting the fares and accurately reconciling the fares with the driver turn-in.
Must be accurate and comply with all internal controls set forth by the Park District business office.
Experience and Skills:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree in office management or clerical operations preferred.
Customer service experience required.
Prior experience dispatching vehicles preferred.
CREDENTIALS/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid driver’s license
This position works Monday through Friday with no weekend work.
