City Carrier Assistant

Responsibilities: - Safely and efficiently operate a mail delivery vehicle to deliver mail and packages along assigned routes - Load and unload mail and packages from the vehicle using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as necessary - Sort and organize mail and packages for delivery - Follow established delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely and accurate delivery - Collect outgoing mail from businesses and residential mailboxes - Obtain signatures for registered, certified, and insured mail items - Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns Experience: - Previous experience as a mail carrier or in a similar role is preferred but not required - Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting and delivery of mail - Excellent time management skills to adhere to delivery schedules - Good physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy packages Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
