We are looking for seasonal employees to help during our spring/summer agronomy seasonal demands.
Truck Driver will deliver fertilizer and chemicals to applicators.
Must have a Class A or Class B (Seasonal) CDL with current health card.
Position Responsibilities:
The fertilizer/agronomy tender truck driver’s responsibilities involve plant and warehouse operations, deliveries, sales and service, maintenance and safety, and other duties as assigned by management.
The fertilizer/agronomy tender truck driver’s will maintain a positive attitude that promotes team work within the cooperative and a favorable image of the cooperative.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Drives truck into position to load
Opens Valves or starts pumps to fill tanks
Reads Gauges or Meters and records quantity loaded
Drives Truck to customer’s premises.
Complies with all DOT and other required documentation and paperwork
Monitors equipment
May perform maintenance and light repairs on truck and equipment as required
Complete paper work as required
Maintain clean equipment and facilities at all times
Report any needed repairs or special maintenance to your supervisor immediately
Establish & maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events
Uphold all cooperative policies and ensure that all facilities and equipment meet all federal, state, and OSHA regulations
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Basic/Physical Qualifications:
Class B CDL and valid medical card
High School Diploma or General Education Degree(GED)
Agricultural background is beneficial but not a requirement
This job requires the ability to read and comprehend written and oral operational and safety instructions and related rules, policies and memos, and to communicate clearly with your co-workers, supervisors, and customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, applicant is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
May be frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
May be occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, will be regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
Occasionally may be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, and depth perception.
