Specialized Transportation
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including vans and manual transmission vehicles.
- Load and unload residents/clients who are ambulatory, in a wheelchair, or stretcher, ensuring proper securement and handling.
- Plan routes and navigate to destinations using GPS or maps.
- Communicate effectively with customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate records of transports, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a driver, preferred, but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading clients in wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
