OVERVIEW:
This individual’s main duty consists of acquiring parts and other items from vendors in and around the Fargo-Moorhead area in a safe and professional manner.
This position requires a high level of confidentiality as it gets exposed to many departments and items.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in the acquisition of parts and other items for the Fargo locations of General Equipment
Maintains that the parts equipment is in good working order
Keeps the parts vehicle clean on a weekly basis
Assist in responding to customer needs in the procurement, ordering, shipping, and receiving of inventory
Stock shelves as needed and organize parts locations balancing inventory control with work efficiencies
Ship and receive parts and/or equipment and record all incoming parts, units, components, and assemblies into inventory when time permits
Pull and stage parts for work orders
Helps to unload/load trucks
File order slips, invoices, and freight waybills
Maintain clean work areas to include:
Shipping/receiving area-sweep
Box bin organization
Sweep, mop, wipe counters off, take garbage out, and clean chop saw in hose room
Sweep Warehouse

Must be able to prioritize their time as the varying needs of the Parts Counterperson(s) must be weighed with the needs of both types of customers’ being taken under advisement, that is, the Service department and Revenue customers.
As this position is a “floater”, it is incumbent upon this individual to monitor their time to make both of his/her charges more efficient.
