Position Objective:
Deliver and pick up product from specific locations, follow logistics in a manner that will optimize the cooperative’s market share and savings, improve the cooperative’s efficiency, help achieve the cooperative’s mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service.
Position Responsibilities:
The truck driver’s responsibilities involve delivery and pick-up, reporting, operations, service, safety and maintenance, and other duties as assigned by management.
The truck driver will maintain a positive attitude that promotes team work within the cooperative and a favorable image of the cooperative.
Other responsibilities include but not limited to:
Completing deliveries and pick-ups in the most efficient manner
Follow daily assignments as communicated by the logistics report
Communicating with the Operations Manager of any logistic changes
Deliver product and pick up product from specified locations
Maintain an efficient routing system
Ensure sales tickets are made out prior to loading or delivery
Report all product deliveries promptly and accurately
Reporting all sales tickets, logistics reporting, IFTA/IRP, gas receipts, and bill of ladings, accurately and daily to the main office
Perform daily vehicle inspection reports completely and accurately
Loading and unloading commodities in an efficient and safe manner
Report to each location manager to follow location procedures daily
Report any needed repairs or special maintenance to the Shop and Operations Manager immediately
Maintain vehicle cleanliness, performing daily maintenance, and inspections.
A strong work ethic, the ability to work as part of a team
Uphold all cooperative policies and ensure that all facilities and equipment meet all federal, state, and OSHA regulations
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Must be able to lift over 20 pounds
A high school diploma or GED is required
Must have 2+ years of safe and reliable CDL driving/delivery experience
Must have a current CDL Class A license
Must have a valid DOT medical card
Must have a clean driving record
Knowledge of State/Federal DOT Regulations
Must complete a background check, driving record review, and a drug test
Must be able to bend knees to driving pedals
Must be able to Climb Ladders on bins(often as high as 20 ft) up to 10 to 15 times a day
Must be able to Climb Ladders on Trailers, climb in and out of truck up to 10 to 15 times a day
Climb Stairs up to 10 to 15 times a day
