*Paralegal or Legal Assistant, Family Law – Fergus Falls, Minnesota*
This position will assist an assigned attorney within the family law group and may receive assignments relating to divorce, child custody, adoption, and child support.
Ultimately, this position will help with efficiency, deadline management, keeping files moving forward, and communicating with applicable parties.

*Essential Responsibilities:*
- Draft pleadings and documents related to family law matters.
- Service and Court filing of documents, and scheduling hearings, motions, and mediations.
- Correspond with opposing attorneys and assistants, and outside entities and persons as needed, compose and prepare correspondence to attorneys and to the courts.
- Correspond with clients regarding their matters and with potential clients and set up new matters.
- Process to files all emails and court filings and respond accordingly.
- Complete additional assignments as required.

*Experience:*
- Prior law firm or financial-sector experience is preferred but not required.
- Pemberton Law will train suitable candidates.
*Parameters:*
- Full-time, Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm equaling 37.
5 hours per week.
- In-office (non-remote).

Physical requirements are sitting for extended periods and lifting/moving file boxes depending on needs of the day.
