Summary of Work
The Administrative Assistant II reports to the Executive Director and Deputy Director in the Jamestown Administrative office.
This position provides administrative oversight for the delivery of state-funded legal counsel services for indigent persons within the state of North Dakota.
This position is responsible for providing the administrative support to the agency, office, and staff.
Responsibilities include:
Provide administrative support for agency and requires a thorough understanding of this agency and its standards and policies.
Provide administrative support for office operations to include answering phones and assignment of cases state-wide, E-file court documents, and maintain shared email.
Provide administrative assistance in the preparation of legal documents, leases, contracts, spreadsheets, surveys, correspondence, reports, and forms.
Perform other duties as necessary and/or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires an associate degree with major coursework in office support.
business administration, or legal studies and two years of experience performing a variety of complex office, or secretarial work.
Additional work experience as just described may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
The ideal candidate would be someone who understands the legal process and terminology and is self-driven to complete tasks with little oversight.
Work experience in a legal setting will be given preference over work experience in other settings.
