Leads in the development and implementation of processes and procedures and also assist in manufacturing process improvements.

Leads in the development and implementation of processes and procedures and also assist in manufacturing process improvements.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES · Follow all company safety and quality requirements · Oversee the day-to-day quality activities in order to develop, manage, communicate, implement and maintain site and corporate metrics and objectives · Member of the TNS Quality Council and participates in activities to achieve their mission statement · Arrange and/or conduct internal audits to ensure conformance with Quality Management System · Serve as Management Representative for external certification audits · Conduct site Management Review meetings with documented records of information, data, and action items discussed · Identify/implement/oversee incoming inspection for purchased materials and products · Responsible for recording Non-Conformances, Corrective Actions & Preventative Actions into the NC/CAPA database · Apply root cause analysis to NC/CAPA issues to target specific training or process changes or needs · Review non-conforming incidents, trend analysis & costs with Site Management Team to create/modify processes to avoid non-conformances from occurring in the future · Work with Site Management to support the planning stages of product realization · Ensure that all materials and workmanship are completed in accordance with UL, STI & AWS/AISC, CWB, ISO or API standards, plans and specifications, as applicable per site · Verify Material Test Reports (MTRs) and similar documents for required information upon receipt of materials · Organize, manage and record quality-related training activities and effectiveness evaluations for all personnel · Evaluate calibration and non-destructive testing (NDT) suppliers for appropriate qualifications · Create service requests (similar to a purchase order) for calibration and NDT suppliers that clearly state requirements to maintain acceptable quality · Verify receipt of calibration and non-destructive testing services have met necessary requirements · Approve validation results for designs (as necessary) per the required specification · Perform final approval of new designs (as necessary) by verifying first article testing achieved the required design functionality and all planned arrangements were met · Apply Continuous Improvement concepts to all areas of the site · Performs or delegates responsibilities for final inspection of products · Hires, trains, and supervises Quality Control personnel for performance and adherence to responsibilities job requirements · Ensure that all equipment calibration/verification certificates and/or logs are current · Willing to work flexible hours and overtime or weekends as needed · Prompt and dependable attendance · Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALITIES · Strong ability to interact in cross-function ability · Leadership skills to motivate co-workers to quality workmanship · Certification knowledge, as applicable per site · Efficient in use of current software systems · Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions · Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly · Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace · Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal · The trait of being dependable and trustworthy EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE · High School Diploma or GED required · Associates Degree and/or five years of experience in manufacturing · Technical training in quality management systems Experience Required 5 year(s): Associates degree and/or Manufacturing experience Skills Required Process Improvement Attention to Detail Quality Assurance Management Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
