Lead School Age Teacher

Our work environment includes: * Casual work attire * On-the-job training * Flexible working hours We are looking to fill a Lead teacher position in our School Age Room.
Our classroom is licensed for 30 children and it is imperative to have experience in managing large classroom sizes and working with children ages 5-8.
Experience in activity planning and classroom management is key.
Hours are Monday-Friday 2:30pm-6pm.
September-May is part time after school only.
Position could be Full Time if desired.
Summers would be Full Time or Part Time.
Would attend field trips and other activities.
Must be responsible enough to take children to acitvities in the community and get them to and from the center safely.

The ideal candidate would be pursuing a bachelor's degree in early childhood or elementary education, or a Child Development Associate Degree (CDA).
Minnesota requires a minimum 16 semester credits of approved classes taken at an accredited college or university or a Child Development Associate Degree (CDA).
At least 2080 hours of experience working with children.
We are willing to train the right candidate.
The position requires the applicant pass a federal background check with fingerprints.
