Connectivity Product Manager

Position Summary
Appareo is seeking a Connectivity Product Manager.
The ideal candidate will have a background in data networking, telecommunications, and vendor management.
You must be a self-starter, ready to work independently, and be an exceptional team player to ensure a quality product is provided to our customers.
The Connectivity Product Manager shall be a fully competent software engineer with a deep knowledge in software / IT or technical background and have the ability and depth of knowledge to relate to Manufacturing, Business Development, Administration, and Quality on a technical level for targeted products, their components, and the adaptation to the product applications.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for driving the product and business planning processes for Appareo's connected devices and services
Analyze customer needs, current market trends
Assess current competitor offerings and look for opportunities for differentiation
Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Appareo's connectivity products
Develop new and current product requirements
Appraise new product ideas and strategize potential, appropriate go-to-market plans
Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI
Collaborate closely with Appareo's Connectivity Engineering group, Manufacturing, marketing, and Sales teams
Work with other groups inside AGCO to support their needs for connectivity hardware, software, and services
Develop and maintain product roadmaps
Manage Appareo's data vendor relationships
Primary support for Apparao's data platform
Primary support for Appareo's data vendors
Work with our carriers, module manufacturers, and Appareo Engineering to evaluate emerging trends in the connectivity marketplace
Strong experience in a dynamic product management role
Strong writing and editing skills, combined with presentation and public speaking skills
Managerial
Performs personnel reviews, interviews, training, continuing education, and career planning for his/her area
Plans, organizes, budgets, and directs the work of teams in a functional area to successfully manage multiple projects in the design of new or existing products
Establishes plans, evaluates progress, determines ongoing resource requirements, and makes changes to achieve objectives
Works closely with other designated personnel to ensure designs meet all design specifications
Can delegate assignments in a clear and concise manner as needed to guide and mentor the teams during the design process
Works closely with other design project teams to ensure the final product comes together in a design that meets or exceeds the requirements
Create functional strategies and specific objectives for the software connectivity group
Direction Received
Operates with a high degree of autonomy
Receives administrative supervision by the VP of Engineering, with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits
Financial
Responsible for developing the annual budget for his/her area
Responsible for operating his/her area within the framework of the approved annual operating budget
Travel
Travels or delegates travel as needed to accomplish the tasks required, including meeting with customers and other tasks as needed
