Butler Machinery is looking for a Director of Precision Ag and Construction Technology that will have overall responsibility for the leadership, development, profitability, and operations of the Technology Solutions Division.
This individual must proactively develop and execute strategies meeting the current and future needs of both external and internal customers, in the areas of Precision Farming and Construction Technology.

Responsibilities:
* Leads the development, implementation and communication of strategies enabling Butler Machinery to proactively meet the needs of customers using Precision Farming and Construction Technology solutions.
* Works closely with members of the Executive Team in developing and executing strategic business goals with technology solutions.
* Works continuously with other internal departments to efficiently meet customers’ needs.
* Develops and manages a sales and product support comprehensive plan for selling technology products throughout our territory.
* Develops a comprehensive training plan for technology products in conjunction with our training department to include Service, Parts, Sales, and Customers.
* Develops and measures a series of metrics defining success of the technology solutions business.
* Primary relationship owner between technology suppliers and Butler Machinery.
* Works closely with the Marketing Department to develop marketing and advertising campaigns.
* Networks with technical colleges and state agencies to actively promote technology industry.
* Manage new technology product introductions and coordinate communications to all parties involved.
* Conducts meetings regarding market analysis results, competitor strategies, customer needs and internal processes.
* Monitors competitor technologies and market movement.
* Determines technology inventory needs.
* Sets pricing for technology products.
* Works within and promotes vision, mission and values of BMC.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in business administration, civil engineering or mechanical engineering preferred.
Other degrees will be considered taking job experience into consideration.
* At least 5 years of progressive experience in management within a Caterpillar dealership or comparable industry preferred.
* Experience, training and knowledge in the agriculture or construction industry with an emphasis in Precision Farming and Construction Technology preferred.
