80k to 85k Knowledge of Scrap Industry Ability to operate a forklift and other equipment 5+ Years' Management Job Description Summary: This position is responsible for the overall management, profitability, and production for the scrap recycling location for Gerdau Steel.
The incumbent should possess a broad knowledge of the Scrap Recycling industry, being familiar with health and safety management, accounting, industrial relations, and management procedures and techniques.
The incumbent has overall responsibility for maintaining safe working conditions and insuring that employees follow safe working standards.
Participates in safety meetings, examines accident reports, and follows up on all matters related to safety.
The incumbent has the responsibility to support and enhance the division's sales policies, procedures, practices, to ensure the desired results consistent with profitability objectives, and existing market conditions.
Principal Accountabilities: Responsible for overall health & safety in conjunction with the Corporate Safety program for the location.
Responsible for Labor Relations and personnel policy at the location.
Responsible for achieving operational goals.
Responsible for maintaining customer relationship with Gerdau Steel Mills and Third Party Customers.
Develop and implement strategies for third party sales to generate cash and savings to the Steel Mills.
Overall responsibility of the locations costs including spending and budget development.
Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Business or Related is preferred Knowledge of Scrap Industry Ability to operate a forklift and other equipment 5+ Years' Management
