YWCA Cass Clay is currently seeking an Equity Manager to lead YWCA to become a community resource for racial equity, first leading by example through a service delivery model that respectfully uses strengths inherent among the cultures of people we serve.
Valued in this way, our programs and practices grow survivor empowerment to overcome equity and access barriers.
The Equity Manager will ignite the flame of understanding as we learn from and challenge our community on a continuous journey toward fairness and equity for all people.
Job Duties:
YWCA-Focused:
Collaborate with YWCA Cass Clay leadership to identify best practices that guide the strategic vision for Racial Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for YWCA programming.
Acquire knowledge, best practices, and equity-focused approaches that support YWCA goals and strategies.
Develop, implement, and monitor diversity and inclusion goals of YWCA programming.
Maintain program statistics and reporting as necessary.
Create and review YWCA policies and practices to ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion for staff and those served by YWCA.
Develop and execute training opportunities for staff orientation and annual training events.
Community-Focused:
Serve as staff liaison to YWCA Racial Justice Committee.
Implement Racial Justice programming and training in conjunction with internal and external committees.
Formulate community collaborations and partnerships that will support YWCA's work towards Racial Equity and Access.
Prepare, conduct, and evaluate community training activities and related initiatives to ensure that training is ongoing and remains relevant to meet desired outcomes.
Maintain an understanding of local equity initiatives and national best practices.
Other Job Duties
Participate in YWCA committees and events as appropriate.
Maintain confidential information regarding clients, donors, members, volunteers, and staff.
Schedule requires flexibility.
May include some evenings, special events, and weekend hours.
Prompt and reliable attendance is required.
Other duties as assigned.
An understanding of, appreciation for, and support of the mission of the YWCA Cass Clay; eliminating racism and empowering women.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree or related experience is preferred.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs; ability to generate reports
Meets all background check requirements.
Must have a valid driver's license.
