PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for building and maintaining facility quality documentation, leading food safety training, responding to customer requests, implementing quality systems, and coordinating internal and third-party audits for Anchor Ingredients Co.
, LLC.
This individual is the face of quality at our facilities and must ensure that quality systems and SOP’s are in place and functioning in their intended purposes.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Documentation Management Maintain internal quality procedures necessary for compliance with customer and 3rd party requirements Review raw and finished product quality results for compliance to specifications Conduct regular reviews of facility documentation and update as necessary Maintain documentation for all third-party audit certification Maintain & update product specifications information for products produced at Anchor facilities Work with procurement and operations to refine inbound specs and grading criteria Manage the communication and direction around facilities non-conformance program Customer Service Work alongside Sales and Customer Service Teams to ensure compliance with Anchor and customer requirements and product specifications Create and manage SOP’s in response to customer requests Send plant quality documentation in response to customer requests Work with Plant Management to Investigate, document, and respond to non-conformances regarding products produced Research lot, PO and/or COAs to respond to inquiries from internal or external customers Process Improvement Provide guidance for all standard operating procedures related to quality, sanitation, and food safety Drive quality project management as it relates to corrective action, non-conformance, process improvement and audits Proactively identify opportunities to increase operational efficiencies and communication Generate quarterly key performance data for quality management and operation leadership review Safety Support and adhere to the Company’s Safety Program.
Food Safety Coordinate, lead, and provide meeting minutes for monthly food safety meetings across all sites Update training material and/or develop material when new training topics arise Responsible for new-hire and annual food safety training of all plant operators, mechanics, and supervisors Foster and grow food safety culture across all operations Third Party and Internal Auditing Act as company designated SQF Practitioner Perform all monthly internal auditing functions across the Anchor facility network Record findings and determine corrective actions for quality management and senior leadership review Follow up to ensure corrective actions have been implement and are effective Coordinate and host all customers for third-party, and SQF audits at Anchor facilities unless otherwise directed by Quality Manager Quality Control Coordinate sample requests from Anchor facilities to internal customers including sales, logistics, accounting, quality, and operations Ability to perform various testing, retesting, and calibrations of quality equipment including NIR, Reveal Q+, Rotap particle size testing with a general understanding of grain handling/sampling standards Quality Systems Manage internal non-conformance database, set up new user access and troubleshoot issues with network administrator Manage QA incidents for Anchor facilities.
Key user of iAuditor software Update corrective actions and maintain site specific templates Identify and implement solutions for potential risk exposure General Responsibilities Up to 80% travel, traveling to Anchor locations across the Upper Midwest.

The noise level in some of the work environments may require the use of hearing protection.
