JOB SUMMARY: As the Finance Manager for Onsharp, this individual will play a critical role in both day-to-day operations and long-term financial strategy.
They will oversee and manage the accounting operations, ensuring all tasks are executed with precision and timeliness.
This role involves close collaboration with the VP of Finance & HR, overseeing the preparation of financial reports, maintaining accounting records, and implementing controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
The Finance Manager will engage in analytical work, conduct comprehensive reviews of financial records, and demonstrate strong organizational skills to handle various accounting tasks effectively.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Leadership & Supervision
Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the accounting team
Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach
Financial Management
Manage and oversee all aspects of the accounting department, including billing, payroll, tax forms, and reporting
Oversee month-end balancing, journal entries, and overall month-end process
Review and approve monthly invoicing
Oversee and approve payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Ensure that company financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and GAAP
Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
Strategic Planning
Manage financial forecasting models for revenue, cash flow, expenses, and business trends
Initiate and manage special projects as directed by the VP of Finance & HR
Update and manage the company budget
Audit & Compliance
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions
Conduct regular internal audits to assess financial procedures, identifying areas for improvement
Complete audits for insurance and benefit programs as well as end-of-year audits needed for the tax accountant
Process Improvement
Continuously review and improve accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiencies
Implement new systems and processes to enhance financial controls and data analysis
Develop and implement financial models to support decision-making processes, budget management, and financial forecasting
Perform additional duties as assigned and adapt to evolving departmental needs

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or other related field
5+ years of applied experience in accounting and finance, including payroll
Experience in a supervisory role
Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions
Strong understanding of accounting software and administration systems
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
