Home Supervisor - Full Time, Jamestown, ND
SUMMARY:
The Home Supervisor provides training, coaching, and mentoring to the residential Direct Support Professionals in Home Life Services, during their shift of work to the DSP/CNA staff implementing the specific individual client’s programs, services and cares.
This position oversees the direct implementation and supervision of services and cares provided to the children/young adults residing on the ACC campus.
The incumbent provides direct supervision, coaching and mentoring.
He/she effectively problem solves issues and needs of both the clients served as well as employees.
In cooperation with the Operations Manager, the position is responsible for completion of the DSP/CNA performance appraisals, and the recruitment, selection, training, and retention of employees with the home.
This position assists the operations manager in the effective operations of the home/residential services.
This position is responsible for the communication within the home as well as between the homes.
This position completes their work on the floor directly supervising and modeling ideal behavior as well as dealing with employee issues and concerns as they arise.
This position leads the designated shifts.
The supervisor serves as a positive role model for staff.
Full time supervisor position.
Work every 4th holiday and every 4th weekend, 7a-7:30p.
CNA required, CMA and eligible driver preferred.
Working with the other residential supervisor's to oversee Horseshoe Park and Rivers Bend.
Responsible for staffing assignments, monitoring employee trainings, in the moment coaching, and other duties as delegated.
This position will meet the following minimum requirements:
Minimum of two years of field experience in the area of Developmental Disabilities.
Must be able to demonstrate effective skills in organization, supervision, leadership, be able to pay attention to details, and communication skills - both oral and written.
Must be able to adapt to rapid change, and must be able to intervene promptly in crisis/emergency situations.
This position requires effective skills in negotiation, organization, leadership, and be able to organize work with various interruptions.
Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:
Associate Degree
Some supervisory experience
