Retail Pharmacy Technician Position Details
Performs clerical duties to support the Pharmacist and ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy according to policy and procedure, pharmacy law and regulations, and HIPAA regulations.
Answers telephone and assists customers.
Properly files and handles prescriptions and pharmacy records in accordance with the law.
Processes and reconciles third party claims; balances bank statements, makes deposits, pays suppliers, prepares month end statements, and prepares monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
Helps maintain the integrity of the pharmacy by immediately reporting any discrepancies to the Director of Pharmacy.
What You Offer
High School Diploma or GED and 18+ years of age.
Licensed/Certified Pharmacy Technician in the state of Minnesota, or Perham Health will support training and certification for the right candidate!
Understanding of pharmacy laws and regulations or ability to acquire such knowledge.
Ability to learn billing requirements and procedures for Department of Human Services and other third party payers.
Knowledge of or ability to: learn medication names (both brand and chemical), perform basic pharmaceutical and accounting math, and obtain basic understanding of medical terminology.
Work Schedule
Full-time; 77 hours per biweekly pay period.
Primarily M-F with an every third Saturday rotation (8:00am-12:30pm)
