Optician Technician

Every weekend and evening off!! Close early on Fridays! Responsibilities: Answering phones, scheduling appointments.
Checking and qualifying vision and health insurances .
Checking in patients.
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyewear based on their prescription and personal preferences - Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses or contact lenses - Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and frame styles to help them make informed decisions - Adjust and repair eyewear as needed to ensure customer satisfaction - Maintain accurate and organized records of customer prescriptions, orders, and payments - Collaborate with optometrists and ophthalmologists to provide comprehensive eye care services Qualifications: - Previous experience as an optician or in a similar role is REQUIRED - Strong knowledge of optical products, including lenses, frames, and contact lenses - Familiarity with medical billing systems and insurance claims processing - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers - Proficient in using laboratory equipment for lens cutting and edging - Sales experience in a retail setting is a plus - Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology related to eye care - Ability to maintain a clean and sterile work environment using aseptic techniques - Experience working with senior care patients is beneficial Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
