Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for creating business development strategies which align to the core studio's market growth and business plans.
This role will be responsible to expand market share, drive revenue and profitability, and positively engage potential clients which further engrains JLG Architects into the communities we serve.
This role will be responsible for all of North Dakota.
Responsibilities
Work with JLG’s Practice Studio Leader to establish near-term (annual) and longer-term (3-5 year) geographic market relationship strategy/goals.
Primary focus is to lead JLG business development strategy within a defined geographic area.
Must clearly understand firm and studio BD strategy and this position’s role to execute specific related tasks.
Develop formal geographic-based strategy that aligns, supports, and enhances the practice studio business strategy.
Support defined JLG studio growth strategies by leading city/regional engagement focused business development activities.
Strategy will encompass the market’s role in elevating JLG brand and support JLG's studio business development.
Develop strategy to ensure support and engagement in JLG’s local community.
Identify and support strategically defined local business partners and relationships to connect with studio strategy and to best serve local client-base.
Represent JLG in local community by being involved in its geography (e.
g.
, participation in Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development, Planning Commission, etc.
).
Engage in regular communication cadence with studio leaders.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Architecture or a related field required
Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated Business Development or Client Relationship experience
Demonstrated experience with a track record of business and market growth
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of AEC industry experience
Experience and expertise in contract management, negotiation, with a strong acumen to influence decision makers
