This position reports to the RN as well as the Manager.
The Resident Assistant assists the resident with: · Personal hygiene · Dressing · Grooming · Incontinence · Ambulation · Daily activities · Wound care · Nail care for non-diabetic residents · Vital signs · Medication administration · Blood sugar checks · Insulin administration · Eating · Behavior redirection · Delegated nursing tasks The Resident Assistant will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide residents with appropriate and compassionate care.
The Resident Assistant will learn: · When to notify the RN · When to notify the manager · To accurately document before each shift has ended · To maintain confidentiality Skills/Knowledge required: · Knowledge of resident rights and reporting requirements pertaining to the Vulnerable Adults Act.
· Knowledge and adherence to Lilac Homes policies and procedures · Knowledge and adherence to all applicable HIPPA requirements The Resident Assistant will be expected to: · Perform laundry · Clean · Cook · Maintain facility grounds so as to ensure safety and security.
· Attend staff meetings · Perform ongoing education · Conduct themselves in a professional manner Physical Requirements: · Normal or corrected vision in order to read, pass medications and cook · Must be able to walk independently · Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds · Must be able to stand for extended periods of times · Must be capable of stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching and squatting while performing daily activities Environmental Conditions: · Potential exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases and chemicals The duties you may be asked to perform by the RN or manager are not limited to the duties on this list.
Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $17.
