Optometric Technician

Our work environment includes: * Modern office setting * Growth opportunities * On-the-job training * Safe work environment Duties: - Perform preliminary testing on patients, including visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception tests.
- Assist with patient intake and history, documenting relevant information in medical records systems.
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for optometrist use.
- Administer diagnostic tests as directed by the optometrist, such as visual field testing and retinal imaging.
- Assist with contact lens fittings and instructions for patients.
- Educate patients on proper eye care and contact lens hygiene.
- Process and maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical coding and billing.
Experience: - Previous experience as an optometric technician or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of retail math and sales techniques is beneficial.
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing procedures is a plus.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems, such as Epic, is desired.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a bonus.
