Kennel Technician

Responsibilities: - Provide daily care and supervision for dogs in a kennel environment - Feed, water, and exercise dogs according to their individual needs - Clean and sanitize kennels, including bedding and toys - Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff - Monitor the health and behavior of dogs and report any concerns to management - Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming - Maintain accurate records of each dog's care and behavior Skills: - Dog training: Ability to implement basic obedience commands and behavior modification techniques - Dog handling: Proficient in safely handling dogs of various sizes and temperaments - Pet grooming: Knowledge of basic grooming techniques, including bathing and brushing - Pet sitting: Experience in providing care for pets in the absence of their owners - Animal restraint: Ability to safely restrain animals during procedures or examinations - Veterinary technician: Familiarity with veterinary medical terminology and procedures - Kennel: Understanding of kennel operations and best practices for animal care - Customer service: Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners in a professional and friendly manner - Veterinary assistant: Knowledge of veterinary office procedures and ability to assist veterinarians as needed - Pet care: Comprehensive understanding of the physical, emotional, and behavioral needs of pets Note: Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
