We are hiring a long-term consultant to work a large, well-known, state of the art agricultural equipment manufacturer in Fargo, ND.

This person will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge technology used on all product lines across the organization as well as OEM components for certain outside customers.
The role will entail developing and executing electronic component tests for mechanical/environmental durability using a variety of simulations to mimic real-world conditions.
This will include:
-Work in a lab to design, set-up, and execute tests of electronic components for vibration, mechanical shock, drop, temperature cycling, humidity, and corrosion (salt spray)
-Gather and format requirements from internal and external stakeholders
-Data analysis to interpret results and relay information to the development team
-Perform troubleshooting and communicate test results across stakeholders
-Work with team members to ensure testing is done with product specifications in mind
-Maintain accurate documentation of test results and test schedules
-Work with team members from other departments as needed
*Skills/Experience Requirements*
*-*BS Degree in EE or ME or commensurate experience in a similar role
-Individual contributor level experience with environment testing of electronic components as outlined in the job duties above
-Good written and verbal communication skills
*Nice-to-Have Experience*
*-*Testing of ruggedized components in the heavy equipment or agricultural equipment field
-Experience with product testing or design of ruggedized electronics.
-Experience with development and debugging tools (e.
g.
oscilloscopes, multi-meters, etc.
)
-Experience with microcontroller peripherals and systems (e.
g.
PWM outputs, boot loaders, A/D converters, serial and parallel interfaces, etc.
)
-Experience with communication networks (e.

CAN, Ethernet, RS-232/485, etc.

-Experience with communication protocols (e.

Pay: $60,000.
