*Position – Customer Service Specialist @ Jon L Wanzek Center for * *Scouting* Boy Scouts of America, Northern Lights Council – Fargo, ND $17 - $19 per hour depending on skills and experience.
*The Organization & Service Territory * The Boy Scouts of America have been providing leadership and character development for youth since 1910.
The Northern Lights Council provides and supports Scouting programs throughout the state of North Dakota, 18 Counties in Minnesota, and two counties each of South Dakota and Montana.
We currently serve more than 5,000 young people through the help of more than 1,500 volunteers.
The successful candidate will work out of the Jon L Wanzek Center for Scouting in Fargo, ND *Job Summary: * Operate in a congenial and informative manner serving as the chief customer service representative at the front desk of the Jon L Wanzek Center for Scouting.
Assist parents, volunteer leaders, youth, and rental customers with any business / scouting /program / camping / activity related needs.
Manage rental and reservation process for the building and provide clerical support for the Council Advancement and Training functions.
*The Customer Service Specialist @ Jon L Wanzek Center for Scouting will: * * Serve as the Chief Customer Service representative at the Jon L Wanzek Center for Scouting.
Answer Phones, greet visitors, provide information, and connect volunteers, parents, youth, and staff as needed.
Conduct, document and manage all financial transactions at the front desk.
* Manage Facility Rental of the Jon L Wanzek Center for Scouting including maintaining the meeting room calendar, issuing key FOBS, explaining, and enforcing rental policies, and inspecting rooms before and after rentals.
* Provide information and assistance with camping, programs, and activities.
Assist and /or be familiar with forms, Leaders’ Guides, registration flyers and website information for all camps and activities and other documents in order to provide accurate information to youth, parents, volunteers, and staff.
Regularly monitor the council website and recommend revisions and updates to the Activities and Marketing Director as needed.
* Provide Clerical support for the Council Advancement & Training function.
Regularly verify Advancement reports submitted by units through filed advancement reports or entered electronically through Update and revise inaccurate or missing records as needed.
Monitor and update volunteer training records including Youth Protection, Leader Specific Training and any specialty training.
Prepare and distribute monthly Leader Training Status reports to Executive Staff.

*Requirements: * * High School Diploma or equivalent * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Proficient in Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Office 365.
Comfortable with social media and other web-based applications.
* Comfortable with accessing and using web-based applications.

We offer a competitive salary of $17-$19 an hour for a 38-hour work week, including early Friday dismissal.
