Responsible for performing all ultrasound-related duties in a professional manner while providing exceptional patient care.
Performs various ultrasounds in abdominal, obstetrical and gynecological, vascular, and breast imaging in both hospital and clinic settings.
Additionally, must work alongside other healthcare team members to assist during invasive procedures as needed.
Thoroughly understands the operation of the ultrasound machine and is self-driven to increase understanding and knowledge.
Provides quality images that accurately display anatomy and any pathological findings.
Prepares a clear summary of findings, communicating with other medical team members when necessary.
Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment by following disinfection protocol and stocking linens daily.
Requires establishing ethical working relationships with all organizational staff.
Must be flexible with hours, covering call on a rotational basis.
This position reports directly to the Radiology Director and is supervised by the Ultrasound Supervisor.
The incumbent has contact with patients, LRH employees, volunteers, clinic personnel, and physicians.
This position has access to sensitive, confidential information, and must be able to maintain those confidences.
The incumbent must be able to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Must have a minimum of one ARDMS registration and be working towards registration in the areas in which you are or will be performing examinations; or be a graduate of a school of Diagnostic Ultrasound and must successfully complete an ARDMS examination in a time frame set by the Ultrasound Supervisor.
The level of education must include the ability to communicate effectively orally and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
This position requires current Healthcare Provider level CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within 6 months.
