00 Job Summary Evaluates a person s hearing functions through various types of auditory tests and provides treatments for hearing loss and impairment.
Plan and conduct treatment programs for patients' hearing or balance problems, consulting with educators, physicians, nurses, psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and other health care personnel as necessary.
Administers and interprets a wide range of auditory tests to assess a person s hearing functions.
Provides treatments for patients with different types and degrees of hearing loss and impairment, using diverse audiological tools and methods.
Develop hearing screening programs.
Prevents hearing loss and other communication disorders by implementing hearing conservation programs.
Adheres to quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure accurate and safe audiology services are provided to patients.
Able to assist in administrative tasks, such as managing office functions and finances as needed.
Willing to engage in marketing activities, such as developing marketing plans, to promote business for private practices.
Educate and supervise audiology students and health care personnel as needed.
Ability to conduct or direct research on hearing or balance topics and report findings to help in the development of procedures, technology, or treatments.
Advise educators or other medical staff on hearing or balance topics.
Provide information to the public on hearing or balance topics.
Willing to participate in conferences or training to update or share knowledge of new hearing or balance disorder treatment methods or technologies.
Qualifications Appropriate education level from an accredited educational institution required in accordance with state licensure.
* Sanford is hiring a clinical Audiologist in Fargo, ND, at our Broadway clinic location.
Looking for an audiologist with adult and pediatric experience/interest.
We are a team of 6 audiologists at two different locations.
You will have the ability to develop an independent audiology patient base.
The audiology department works with our Otolaryngology team, which includes otolaryngologists, neurotologists, nurse practitioners, and physician s assistants.
We seek colleagues who are hardworking, self-motivated, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment.
Clinical Skills Audiologic evaluation including pure tone air conduction, bone conduction, and speech testing Impedance testing including tympanometry and acoustic reflex testing ABR testing- natural sleep and sedated VNG testing VEMP testing Cochlear implant candidacy testing, selection, and mapping Newborn hearing screening Hearing aid dispensing skills Evaluate patient s needs and candidacy for amplification Consult patient s regarding appropriate technology level and hearing aids for specific patient needs Real ear testing Counsel patient s regarding hearing aid use, cleaning and care of the devices, and importance of consistent hearing aid use Hearing aid repairs and modification Earmold impressions Required qualifications Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) from an accredited University Program.
Current North Dakota Audiology license or willingness to obtain North Dakota licensure North Dakota Hearing aid dispensing license or willingness to obtain a North Dakota dispensing license Certificate of Clinical Competance- Audiology (CCC-A) Additional information 40 hours per week An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment.

Estimated start date spring of 2024 * Board Certified in Audiology from an accredited audiology program required, including, but not limited to, The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or the American Board of Audiology (ABA).
Licensed in the state(s) of practice as an Audiologist through the appropriate state licensure board required.
Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
