The Human Resource Manager has the responsibility to administer and manage the Human Resources programs, policies and activities at the Waabigwan Mashkiki Grow Facility and Dispensaries.
*Essential Duties & Responsibilities* * *Manage the recruitment, offer, pre-employment and new hire onboarding for all positions at the facility.
* * *Conduct and manage new hire onboarding process for new hires.
* * *Manage and enroll all new employees in benefits offered by Waabigwan.
* * *Proactively partner with Department Managers on employee relations concerns, support annual initiatives including but not limited to; performance management, open enrollment and policy changes.
* * *Address conflicts and grievances and prepare response to grievances following research and negotiation.
* * *Communicate and manage paid time off program for all employees.
* * *Keep up to date on Tribal, State and Federal employment rules and laws.
* * *Coordinate with our Human Resource managed services rep through Wurk.
* * *Manage data accuracy in Wurk for employees.
This could include processing status changes, submitting time and attendance corrections, entering personal time into time and attendance, etc.
* * *Facilitate meetings with employees and managers to include training, annual open enrollment, staffing, etc* * *Design and update employee evaluation forms and facilitate evaluation meetings and reviews.
* * *Partner with Supervisors and Managers to ensure consistent enforcement of company policies and procedures.
* * *Serve as key resource and advisor to the CEO on confidential matters.
* * *Manage human capital to maximize business value.
* * *Monitoring and processing worker’s compensation and unemployment claims.
* * *Oversee the development/revision of HR policies and procedures* * *Complete exit interviews where appropriate.
* * *Plan employee appreciation events.
* * *Willingness to learn and integrate the culture of the Anishinaabe people.

*Qualifications* * Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and2+ years of Human Resources experience required.
* Highly organized and detailed oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments, work independently and meet established deadlines.
* Exceptional interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
* Outstanding customer-centric skills; adept to communicating effectively both written and verbal to a variety of audiences and with all levels of the organization.
* Excellent knowledge of computer software applications.
*Certificates / Licenses / Registrations / Requirements* * Must be twenty-one (21) years or older.
* Able to pass background check and drug screening.
* Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
* No felony drug convictions within the previous ten (10) years.
* Must fully meet the licensing requirements of the White Earth Medical Cannabis Control Board and be licensed to dispense medical cannabis according to the rules and regulations promulgated by the White Earth Medical Cannabis Control Board, in accordance to the White Earth Medicinal Cannabis Code.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $62,000.
00 - $67,000.
