Tired of nights, weekends, holidays? LAKELAND MENTAL HEALTH CENTER, Detroit Lakes, MN, is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to provide support to designated medical staff in the clinical management of their caseloads in an outpatient clinic setting.
Hours are Monday-Friday, 8-5.
Minimum of Associate's degree in Nursing and MN LPN licensure required.
Previous experience in mental health nursing preferred but not required.
Duties:
1) Assist psychiatrist during treatment and examination of client.
2) Document nursing history and physical assessment for assigned clients.
3) Initiate an individualized client education plan as directed by the psychiatrist.
4) Monitor the therapeutic benefits of medications as well as side effects, and notify psychiatrist of client’s condition and reaction to medications.
5) Call, fax or e-scribe prescription refills in to pharmacists.
6) Schedule appointment follow-ups as appropriate and therapeutically intervene with clients in crisis.
7) Complete prior authorization forms to ensure payment and prescription approvals.
8) Act as Medical Staff liaison to LMHC staff and outside agencies.
9) Participate in program’s quality improvement activities.

return phone calls regarding medication refills and concerns, for psychiatry.
11) Work closely with pharmaceutical companies on client benefit programs.
Maintain inventory of medication samples and dispose of outdated medications.
Administer UAs and Genocide testing or scheduling as necessary.
12) Complete all mandatory training requirements, including online training, in a timely manner.
