Our *Engineer Senior or Engineer 2 Graduate* position exists to assist the District Traffic Engineer in the area of project development including traffic plan design and provisions, internal and external plan reviews, project schedule management, scoping, detour agreements, and other duties as needed by the District Traffic Engineer.
_Detroit Lakes has 412 lakes within a 25-mile radius with a 1-mile-long public sand beach and is only 40 minutes to Fargo/Moorhead.
You’ll find year-round recreation including skiing, fishing, bird watching, hiking, biking, skating, mountain biking, snowmobiling, boating and 8 area golf courses.

*Here are the minimum qualifications:*
*Minimum Qualifications for Engineer Senior:*
* Licensure as a professional Civil Engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID).
(If obtaining licensure through Comity, a temporary permit from AELSLAGID must be provided to MnDOT HR prior to starting employment.
)
*Minimum Qualifications for Engineer 2 Graduate:*
* A Bachelor’s degree in civil or construction engineering from an EAC-ABET accredited college/university or equivalent as rated by EAC/NCEES.
* A passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
* Two (2) years post-graduation civil engineering work.
OR
* A Master’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering from an EAC-ABET accredited college/university or equivalent as rated by EAC/NCEES
* A passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
* One (1) year of post-graduate civil engineering work.
OR
* Received a passing score on the Minnesota Principals & Practices of Civil Engineering (PE) Exam.
