The purpose of this position is to provide nursing care to patients.
The framework for practice will be the nursing process in order to prescribe, delegate and coordinate nursing care.
The LPN must be able to supervise others as assigned including LPN’s, nursing assistants, clerks, and students.
The LPN has contact with patients, patient families and visitors, PRHHS employees, referral agencies, volunteers, administration, and physicians.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position.
The LPN must be able to provide patient care, secure cooperation from others, problem-solve, and exercise initiative and judgment.
This position requires the incumbent to be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in Minnesota and BLS certification.
Willingness to be certified in ACLS and TNCC or CALS within the first year of employment.
