This is a PCU/Tele/ICU Stepdown unit.
General job duties.
Types of procedures required.
Management of 3 intermediate ICU patients.
Management of varying patient populations including intermediate cardiac, neuro, trauma, medical, and post-surgical patients.
Ability to manage vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips within a lower titration range.

Phillips Patient Monitoriug Systems
AvaSure patient Monitoring
Hamilton Ventilator
Hamilton V60 BiPAP
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
2 years of experience in a larger facility (200 beds min), level 1.
Ability to care for Intermediate ICU patients independently.
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
BLS - must be AHA, ACLS - must be AHA, NIHSS, ND or compact state RN License
Shift or schedule requirements.
Day/Night Rotate-8 and 12 hour shifts, occasional 4 hour shifts.
Every other Weekend
Every other Holiday
No call required.
Employee will not work alone
Floating to over units/departments.
Floating to all critical care departments in Sanford Fargo including Intermediate ICU with ratios up to 4: 1
May be required to float to med surg units as needed
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.

Nurse to patient ratio of this unit.
1 nurse to 3-4 patients

Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.
The candidate will get a total of 32 hours of orientation.
That includes 8 hours of hospital orientation, 8 hours of orientation to this unit (5AB) 4 hours of orientation to our Adult ICU (5CD), and then 12 hours of orientation to our Broadway ICU.
All of this will take place over the 1st week of the assignment.
