SPBHA is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to fill the position of Director of Clinical Services.
As a leading provider of mental health and wellness services in the Southern Plains region, we are dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for both our clients and our team members.
SPBHS is affiliated with the SD Department of Social Services and one of 11 accredited community mental health center in the State of South Dakota.
SPBHS provides services for Gregory, Todd, Tripp and Mellette Counties in South Dakota.
Salaried position - $71,864 - $115, 148 (depending upon experience) Relocation assistance available Competitive benefit package including medical insurance, PTO and retirement Responsibilities: 1.
Clinical Leadership: Provide leadership and supervision to the clinical services team, ensuring the delivery of high- quality mental health care.
Oversee the development and implementation of evidence-based clinical programs and interventions.
Participates in screening of clients and supervising others who are involved in the screening of clients to determine medical necessity and appropriate diagnosis.
Will attend Board meetings at the request of the Executive Director, Business Manager, or Board of Directors.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic plans for the enhancement and growth of clinical services.
Identify opportunities for program development and expansion to meet the evolving needs of our communities.

Staff Development: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of licensed mental health professionals, ensuring a high standard of care.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development among clinical staff.
Establishes and maintains regular communication with all staff and provides weekly staff supervision.
Participates in screening of clients and supervising others who are involved in the screening of clients to determine medical necessity and appropriate diagnosis.
Participates in the on-call schedule.

Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical programs through regular assessments and outcome measurements.
Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall impact and efficiency of clinical services.
Reviews staff charts to ensure compliance with state/federal guidelines.

Collaboration and Community Engagement: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and other mental health organizations.
Represent the organization at relevant community events and participate in advocacy efforts to promote mental health awareness.

Budget Management: Work closely with the finance department to develop and manage the clinical services budget, ensuring financial sustainability and efficiency.
Qualifications: A master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Nursing, or Social Work, and currently holding a South Dakota license in that field REQUIRED At least two [2] years of supervised postgraduate clinical experience and have an additional two [2] years of experience in a mental health setting.
Strong understanding of evidence-based clinical practices and mental health treatment modalities.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of mental health professionals.
