Position Summary
The Salvation Army Fargo Corps Community Engagement Director oversees all aspects of volunteer engagement and promotes The Salvation Army to increase community involvement, support, and funding.
The Director also coordinates special events.

Essential Functions (Approximate time spent)

Create, organize, and execute special events (e.

, social services, fundraising, Christmas Red Kettle Campaign).

Manage the recruitment, training, placement, and retention of volunteers.

Cultivate, solicit, and steward donor relations and sponsorships (e.
g.
, attend community events, develop community relations campaigns, and coordinate celebration and recognition events).

Manage media relations and social media content.

Education and Experience
.
Bachelor's degree in related field.
In lieu of degree, a combination of education and experience may be considered.

Previous experience in volunteer management, public relations, or related field required.

Valid driver's license, meet MVR driver's qualifications, and pass background check.

Proficient using PC, Microsoft Office, and databases.

Working Conditions

Supervisory Responsibilities
Provide guidance, support, and supervision to volunteers.
Travel Requirements
Travel throughout the local community using an agency or personal vehicle is required.
Rare overnight trips.
