Summary:
The Production Supervisor will take a servant leadership approach to supervising and coordinating daily and weekly activities for operational employees.
They will provide detailed coaching related to production and assuring employees understand the “how” and “why” behind our unique processes.
Looking to fill openings on 2nd shift (3pm – 11:30pm) Monday through Saturday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with analyzing production orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules
Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for shift operations
Interprets specifications and production orders to workers and assigns duties
Plans flow of materials through all departments during shift as well as preparing the following shifts for readiness
Leads daily huddle for shift with employees
Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet quality/customer standards
Implement established work procedures to meet production schedules as directed by Production Manager
Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment, performance, and quality of products
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work crew
Inspires and motivates others to perform well and gives appropriate feedback and recognition
Leads by example in safety initiatives and core values
Responsible for accurate maintenance of time and production records
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are repetitive of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
2+ years of work experience in a lead position and/or training
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and setup instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Strong leadership skills with an emphasis on servant leadership
Team building capabilities with a focus on diversity and inclusion
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; driven by process improvement
Proficient in Microsoft suite
