Licensed Practical Nurse - Jamestown Campus
This is a part time position, working every other Sunday and Monday night 6PM - 6AM.
Every other holiday rotation.
SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to perform general nursing care to the clients at the Anne Carlsen Center.
The Licensed Practical Nurse contributes to the nursing care of the client, guided by the nursing care plan, IHP/IEP, behavior plan, facility policies and procedures, and professional standards of practice.
The position, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, assumes the authority, responsibility, and accountability for working with educational, therapeutic, home life service staff in the implementation of the total care plan/IHP/IEP for clients enrolled in ACC programs.
This position uses independent judgment regarding priority of work.
The duties of the incumbent are clearly defined in established policies, procedures, ND Board of Nursing Standards of Practice, assignments, and schedules.
The incumbent provides care within the boundaries of physician orders.
This position works within the guidelines of AC policies/procedures, State and Federal Laws, Rules, and Regulations.
This position will meet the following minimum requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and must possess a current, unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse license from the State of North Dakota
The incumbent must be able to learn and perform education and therapeutic programs, have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing, be able to follow verbal and written instructions, and problem solve effectively with clients, staff, and family members
The incumbent must have the ability to administer nursing care using advanced technology and special equipment, as well as keep current with new medications and treatments, be knowledgeable of evidence based practice, and perform nursing assessments accurately
