Activities Assistant - Part Time

Pelican Valley Senior Living has a rewarding opportunity for a part time Activities Assistant to join our team at Riverfront on Main, Assisted Living.
9am-1pm - one day per week 10am-5pm every other Saturday Starting wage is $16.
45/hour Free Meals (10/month) Pelican Valley Senior Living is a three building senior living community in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota.
We have a 33 bed care center, and two distinct assisted living communities that provide enhanced assisted living services and memory care assisted living.

Activities Assistant Responsibilities: Responsible for providing high quality activities programming designed to meet and honor the physical, social, spiritual, sensory and psychological needs of all residents based on an assessment of their individual needs and interests in the skilled nursing environment.
Advocates and promotes resident participation and choice.
Requires exceptional customer services skills and the ability to work calmly and effectively with the elderly.
Experience providing person-directed care in long-term care, home care or assisted living settings is preferred.
A Minnesota nursing assistant certification is not required.
Critical thinking, interpersonal effectiveness and teamwork skills are required.
Will also take work direction from the Activities Coordinator.
The Activities Assistant role has frequent contact and communicates with staff, residents, family members, and visitors.
