*Position Title:* Retail Sales Manager
*Position Classification:* Full Time/Exempt-Administrative
*Reports To:* VP of Membership & Member Experience

*Position Summary:* The Retail Sales Manager supports mission delivery and external customers by understanding customer needs, providing high quality customer service, and collaborating cross-functionally across the council to meet or exceed planned retail sales objectives, ensuring diversity, equitable access, and inclusive sales environments.
Position serves as council System Administrator for the POS system and online platform ensuring accuracy in pricing, inventory, reporting and sales metrics.
*Major Accountabilities-Sales & Retail* 1.
Provides Retail Specialist onboarding, coaching and support.
Serves as subject matter expert on retail sales.
2.
System Administrator who manages and provides end user support for the Council’s POS systems including adding and removing staff, clearance and markdowns, inventories, and sku management.
3.
Oversees, monitors, evaluates, and analyzes retail store inventory stock levels to ensure the needs of troops and volunteers are met.
This includes providing accurate related reporting.
Plans and executes council-wide annual inventory.
4.
Oversees and educates customers/staff around coupon/promotional events such as back to troop and Juliette Gordon Low Birthday promos.
Partners with marketing and communications for effective design of promo materials.
5.
Collaborates with 3rd party vendors on buying program-related and Dakota Dough merchandise.
Creates orders for purchasing council-wide retail merchandise, creating skus, and distributing to retail locations.
Collaborates to ensure pop up shop needs and items requested are available.
6.
Continuously seeks greater efficiencies, resource improvements, and retail cost savings and partners to strategize on delivering exceptional experiences to members in the retail environment.
7.
Partners with Finance and VP of Membership and Member Experience in developing an annual retail budget.
Regularly and timely process expenses and monitor budget.
8.
Executes store merchandise planning and seasonal re-sets along with monitoring best practices of retail staff.
9.
Oversees effective and efficient operation of the council retail shops to meet or exceed planned goals.
This includes execution of pop-up retails shops from travel, creation, packing and impact analysis.
10.
Provides high quality customer-centric service to all internal and external customers (staff, volunteers, Girl Scout members, etc) by portraying a positive image of Girl Scouting and supporting staff in meeting program needs.
11.
Other duties as assigned.

*Qualifications:* 1.
Associate degree in related field and/or 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in a sales environment preferred.
2.
Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and a willingness to be flexible, working independently without close supervision.
3.
Ability to meet deadlines and successfully manage multiple projects without sacrificing customer service expectations.
4.
Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for the Girl Scouts Mission as well as for customer advocacy.
Strong sense of urgency and results-orientation are required.
5.
Understanding and ability to analyze statistical data to identify trends and translate into actionable strategies and recommendations.
6.
Exceptional written, verbal, listening and interpersonal skills with the ability to be diplomatic, tactful, persuasive, and build support and commitment.
7.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office platforms; POS systems & Shopify will be a plus.
8.
Actively and consistently demonstrate the Girl Scouts norms and culture.
9.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes some travel, night and weekend hours as needed.
Average of 1 weekend per month.
10.
Valid driver’s license with access to reliable personal transportation which is properly licensed and insured.
11.
Ability to maintain active, paid membership in GSUSA annually.
12.
Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance.
*Working Conditions/Physical and Safety Requirements:* 1.
This position will typically work in normal business office environment conditions.
2.
Ability to lift, move, transport up to 30 lbs.
3.
Must be able to successfully complete required pre-hire criminal and vehicle background screenings.
4.
Required to perform tasks while sitting at a desk, using normal hand dexterity on a regular basis.
Mobility is required, including standing, moving, sitting, and driving.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000.
