We are seeking a motivated Marketing and Events Intern to join our team and learn the ropes of building a brand through creative marketing strategies and engaging events.
*Job Description*
As a Marketing and Events Intern at Farmented Foods, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in marketing, social media management, event planning, and more.
This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for food and marketing who are eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist in creating content for social media platforms, blog posts, newsletters, and other marketing materials
* Support the team with graphic design projects, including graphics, promotional materials, and signage
* Capture photos and videos for use in marketing materials and social media posts
* Participate in the coordination and execution of promotional events, tastings, and farmers' market appearances
* Engage with our online community through social media channels, responding to comments and messages
* Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned
*Qualifications*
* Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field at a North Dakota college, university (this internship is receiving funding through Operation Intern through the State of ND)
* Enthusiasm for food, sustainability, and community engagement
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Understanding of social media platforms (e.
g.
, Facebook, Instagram)
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
* Willingness to assist at Saturday farmers' markets as needed
*Nice-to-have*
* Experience with graphic design tools like Adobe Creative Suite
* Video and photography skills are a plus
* Knowledge of SEO principles and digital marketing strategies
* Previous internship or relevant work experience in marketing
*Schedule*
This internship requires a commitment of 15-20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to accommodate other commitments.
Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required for events and promotions.
