*Job Summary:*
The Sales Coordinator is responsible for organizing group blocks and corporate negotiated reservations.
In addition they will assist the Area Sales Manager and/or with increasing business and maintaining existing accounts.
Their main duties include creating group blocks, making reservations, creating group and corporate contracts, generating reports and professional correspondence.
*Essential Job Functions:*
* -Coordinating internal sales effort by responding to walk-in, telephone or email guest inquiries for multiple properties
* -Process correspondence, reports, proposals and contract documents and internal communications
* Assist the General Manager and Area Sales Manager with prospecting
* Organizing group event details, rooming lists and other guest requests
* Coordinating administrative sales support such as documenting sales calls, setting up billing information, creating sales flyers, etc.
* Maintain the filing system
* Maintain the trace system
* Set up new files as needed
* Maintain weekly Reader file
* Providing excellent guest service by demonstrating a personal commitment to making every guest satisfied.
*Qualifications and Skills:*
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Able to take direction
* Ability to work as part of a team and independently
* Computer proficiency and experience with: Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Visual Matrix is a plus
* Strong organizational skills
* Excellent public relations and customer service skills
* Excellent phone etiquette
* Professional appearance and attire
* Weekend availability required
*Education and Experience:*
* ion and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent
* 1 year of hotel Sales, experience a plus
* 1 year of hotel experience a plus
* Previous clerical or secretarial skill a plus
