POSITION: Bridge Sales Engineer
SHIFT: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:30 pm
PAY RATE: Competitive Salary (Depending on Experience) + Full Benefits Package
LOCATION: Remote Midwest
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote TrueNorth Steel products to specifying engineers with the mission of getting our products specified and utilized on projects.
Work closely with TrueNorth Steel Territory Sales Managers to ensure the effective transfer of project information before and during the project bid phase.
This position interacts with the Bridge Sales Team, Estimators, Engineers, Production/Operations, Logistics, and Accounting.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES This position requires extensive time out of the office and requires a substantial amount of time spent traveling and meeting face to face with specifiers, clients, and decision makers.
Promote our entire product line to the Federal and State D.
O.
T.
, Consulting Engineers, County Engineers, Townships, Municipalities, State and Federal agencies and Contractors.
Ensure products, especially Modular Vehicular, and Pedestrian Truss Bridges are being specified and used in the appropriate application/project.
Provide technical information/documentation to the Territory Managers in order to advance the position of the company and/or assist in the sale of our Bridge products.
Determine priorities for travel and office time/projects to accomplish the goals set out by mutual agreement with the Director of Bridge Sales.
Work closely with the Territory Sales Managers; recommend trade shows, industry and/or association conventions to promote the company and its products.
Attend certain strategic events as the “technical resource” for the Bridge group.
Compile lists of current/prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from the web, newspapers, business directories, and other sources.
Maintain a current customer list for the Bridge Inside Sales Team, Estimators, and management in TrueNorth Steel's CRM platform.
Collaborate with Territory Sales Managers on developing/organizing and preparing Bridge presentations regarding our company’s products (using video, MS PowerPoint, etc.
).
Locate, gather, and assemble information on competitive materials/products regarding projects that may be beneficial for competitive bidding and/or the education and knowledge of company personnel.
Maintain and have a full and current understanding of market pricing.
Determine price competition and recommend pricing based on research.
Gather competitor pricing information from contractors pre-bid time to assist with TNS bids and after a bid to help provide market pricing intelligence.
Negotiate sales with customers after the bid and adjust prices where necessary to gain the sale.
Monitor customer projects/product preferences to determine focus of our sales efforts.
Explain and implement our Terms & Conditions to customers and potential prospects.
Negotiate a signed TNS quote including the TNS Terms & Conditions vs customer P.
O.
or contract.
Negotiate estimated delivery date based on TrueNorth Steel’s production schedules.
Assist TrueNorth Steel's accounts receivable with payment collections as needed.
Sound judgment is required to balance customer's requirements with our Company goals and objectives (Mission Statement).
Resolve customer complaints/concerns with the appropriate staff.
Note and report in the Non-Conformance/ Corrective Action program.
Follow up (e-mail, phone, and on-site visits) on Bridge projects that were bid through your Territory Managers or Estimators.
Willing to work flexible hours when necessary.
Prompt and dependable attendance.
Other duties as assigned.
