Description, Duties & Responsibilities:
The communications intern will provide ongoing support for multimedia activities of NDSU Agriculture Communication.
Responsibilities include creating and posting content on the web, writing and editing basic news releases, and assisting with other communication initiatives.
The person in this role will learn and use various tools such as content management systems, project management software, audio transcription software, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
Communicate regularly with Project Manager to coordinate efforts, activities and schedules
Post content to the NDSU Agriculture website and the internal SharePoint site
Assist with writing and editing news releases
Use project management software to track work and communicate with staff on the multimedia team
Run audio transcription software
Communicate professionally by email and in person
Requirements & Competencies:
Current student enrolled at NDSU with Sophomore standing or higher
Attention to detail
Excellent written communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Experience using a web content management system (preferred)
Familiarity with Associated Press style (preferred)
Majoring in a communication-related field (preferred)

Hours & Schedule:
Approximately 10 hours/week
Between 8 a.
m.
and 5 p.
m.
weekdays, exact schedule is flexible around classes
